One two-month cruise through Australia was terminated in the wake of the fatal incident of an older woman who was stranded by the cruise liner on a remote coastal location.

The passenger had been trekking on the tropical location with fellow passengers from the cruise ship, but broke off from the group for a pause. The ship left without her and returned after some time after the personnel became aware the woman was unaccounted for.

A large-scale hunt located her person the subsequent day.

The CEO of the cruise operator announced that passengers and staff on the vessel were told that the rest of the journey had been terminated due to the "tragic passing and previous engine troubles".
