Throughout a commanding display, England wrapped up one more victory versus Albania, with several players delivering notable performances throughout the game.

First-choice Eleven

The goalkeeper Had little to do to perform during the opening 45 but then called into action from an opponent's bent shot. A sliding intervention on Qazim Laci highlighted excellent reading of the game. 6/10

Jarell Quansah Tested against the opposition's primary attacker in Hoxha. Operated through the middle initially later drifted wider after a teammate came on. 7/10

John Stones Pushed up the pitch with the ball at his feet, something he's known for previously. On occasion lacked urgency in possession and the approach abandoned by the interval. 6

Dan Burn A constant threat on corners and free-kicks, typically, but may be a replacement for his teammate at the back instead of his partner. A careless ball in the second half came close to a goal from the visitors. Six

Nico O’Reilly A further composed performance by the youngster after his first cap against Serbia. Saka failed to make the most of an exquisite flick behind the Albania defence. The role is his to lose at this stage. 7

The newcomer A debut start for his country. A bit sloppy when playing out but his whipped set-pieces posed a danger. A useful game manager available to the coach to utilize versus sides that sit back. Cautioned for a poorly timed tackle. 6/10

Declan Rice Set-pieces from dead balls and free-kicks were dangerous. Enjoyed freedom to roam down the left flank yet found himself in an offside position upon receiving in front of goal. Given a well-earned break on the hour mark. 6

Jude Bellingham Functioned in a forward role out wide and also put in defensive duties. Displayed flashes of quality but scuffed an attempt over. Substituted towards the end by Rogers, a fellow player, after receiving a caution. 7

Jarrod Bowen Had England’s best chance in the opening period, his shot excellently kept out from Thomas Strakosha. With Quansah holding position, he had to stretch the play on the right but his crosses into the box were hit and miss. Substituted for the final quarter-hour. 6

Harry Kane The decisive figure scoring 77th and 78th finishes in an England shirt. The first a trademark opportunist's goal and his next a classy headed goal having drifted away off his defender. Now 32, he continues to improve and England stand a real opportunity in future competitions with him leading the line. 8/10

Eberechi Eze Struggled to influence play out wide. Had a decent opportunity following a pass by the midfielder but Strakosha made the save. His replacement had a greater effect after coming on. 5/10

• Bukayo Saka (for Eze 63) Failed to convert yet his delivery created the opener, 6/10
